New section and new tutorials – Network Security
Just added a new section to LANverse.com – Network Security.
Check it out if you’re interested in the security aspect of networking. This new section will deal with software solutions to the ever increasing threats to networks and articles on how to protect your PC from being targeted by malicious hackers, as well as malicious software.

First tutorial on Network Security deals with a great piece of FREE software called Hamachi, from a company called LogMeIn. They have many cool products, but Hamachi is one that especially caught our eye a while back even before it was acquired by LogMeIn. All of our machines at LANverse.com use Hamachi, because it is a great solution to securing remote access to your files as well as providing you with your own VPN. We especially like the ability to run FTP servers over Hamachi.
