Create A Custom Boot Image for iPhone!
**DEVICE MUST BE JAILBROKEN**
This guide was made using Adobe Photoshop CS3, I’m sure any PNG/Image editor will work.
Before you start please download and install “LogoMe” from cydia. It allows you to change your boot image without having to RESTORE your iPhone/iPod Touch
First start off with your canvas the size MUST BE 320 x 480 Pixels.
Then make sure the DPI is set to 96.
Next, MAKE YOUR IMAGE! Add anything you would like to see, Keep it simple, **never use a full screen image. **
When you are finished please make sure the FILESIZE IS LESS THAN 100K and the file is saved as PNG-8 File.
Once you have saved the file post it up on your favorite image hosting site (That supports PNG Files).
Open up LogoMe on your iPhone (itll download some files on the first open), then hit Download.
Type in the image url that you got when you posted the image on the image hosting site.
Tap Download, once completed tap Install Logo. Here you can click preview to view how it will look.
If the screen is all black you skipped a step, go back and try again. If you see your image in preview mode, go ahead and tap install.
Once LogoMe flashes your device, reboot the phone, and VIOLA! Your Custom Boot Image should be Displayed.
