How to install MobileInstallation on your iPhone!
**This is for FW 2.1 or 2.2 JailBroken Devices ONLY**
Before starting please download the patched MobileInstallation file from here 2.1 or here 2.2
Download a free app first from the app store before starting this process, if you already have, then continue on.
Using SSH, navigate to the folder:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework
NOTE: MobileInstallation.framework is a FOLDER!
Backup the file “MobileInstallation” file from the directory above, by renaming to MobileInstallation.bak
Copy the patched MobileInstallation file over to
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework
Right click, then Set permissions to that new file to 775
Remove file :
/private/var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist
else you won’t be able to see Cydia apps
Reboot your device – IMPORTANT! Otherwise Apps will not install!
Restart iTunes
