To secure the communication between OWA and your Exchange Server you need to use SSL (secure socket layer), so you need to have a certificate in place. Either windows (2000 or 2003) certificates or third party certificates.
The first step in this tutorial we will show you how to install the Certification Authority on Windows Server 2003.

Prior to installing Exchange Server 2003, there are some Windows Server 2003 components that must be enabled on the server the reason is the level of integration exchange has with Active Directory and the Windows operating systems.
To successfully complete the installation of Exchange Server 2003 the following services must be installed and enabled on the Server:
